The Environmental Assessment has been prepared for the proposed Lewis & Clark Caverns State park Electrical and Lighting Improvement Project. This project proposes to redesign and replace the 65-year old electrical and lighting system internal to the caverns at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park. The Program tentatively plans to provide partial funding to a stream restoration project calling for the reorganization of a corral system along Chicken Creek. This proposed project is located on the Tubaugh Ranch approximately five miles east of the town of Clyde Park in Park County. (Restoration & Rehabilitation - 09/28/2005)
The intent of the project is to improve upstream fish passage for fluvial westslope cutthroat trout and bull trout. Arrastra Creek is a significant tributary to the Blackfoot River and is a key spawning area for fluvial species of fish.
