FWP seeks public comment on a proposed Shooting Range Development and Enhancement Grant for a project located at the existing range located approximately 3 miles from Seeley Lake in Powell County, MT. FWP proposes to provide $6,500 as partial funding for purchase of a permanent lease on 4.18 acres of Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation land adjacent to the existing shooting range. The attached Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared for the proposed acquisition of approximately 1.5 acres of land in the town of Logan, Montana along the Gallatin River for the purpose of establishing a fishing access site (FAS). The landowner has offered to donate the property to FWP.

The Program tentatively plans to provide partial funding to a project calling to replace an existing undersized and perched culvert located on Bear Creek, a second order tributary to the lower Blackfoot River, with a free span bridge. The project also call for the removal of two additional undersized culverts; one located on Bear Creek and one located on the West Fork Bear Creek.
