The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to maintain and improve public access along the Clark Fork River. The lower Clark Fork River is a very popular river for float and bank angling, as well as a variety of recreational uses including floating, swimming, walking, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.

FWP seeks public comment on its proposal to develop a shooting range on a newly acquired parcel approximately 3 miles west of the City of Glendive off of Hwy 200. The proposed improvements would include the installation of ten shooting benches; target backboards and berms at 25-50-100-300 yards; a gravel access road with parking area and a sidewalk; fencing and signing along the property’s boundary; and an ADA accessible vault latrine.

FWP seeks public comment on its proposal to add 204.5 acres along Threemile Creek to the existing 1,869-acre Brown Valley Conservation Easement to protect important riparian habitat and elk winter range. The Brown Valley Ranch is located 7 airline miles east of Florence in Ravalli County, Montana.
