To grant funds to Great Falls Trap and Skeet Club GFT&SC for a Shooting Range Development Grant project. The range is located at 183 Ulm North Frontage Rd., Ulm, MT, in the SW ¼ NW ¼ of Sec. 34 & in the SE ¼ NE ¼ of Sec. 33; T20N, R2E P.M.M. Cascade County, Montana. This Project tentatively plans to provide $10,995 in partial funding towards 1) replace and relocate shotgun Pattern board; (2) purchase three automatic trap machines; (3) re-grade and replace 270 feet of sidewalk; (4) install 7 connecting sidewalks to Trap Fields; (5)install a 1500 gallon cistern; and (6) purchase three wireless voice calls. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) invites the public to comment on its proposal to direct federal funds toward the purchase a conservation easement on about 7,839 acres southwest of Lincoln at a cost of about $5,356,000.
Five Valleys Land Trust would be the easement holder. FWP’s purposes for procuring federal funds for this acquiring the conservation easement are to protect habitat for native fish and wildlife.
A Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) will be available for review and comment beginning Monday, November 19, 2007.
