An Environmental Assessment (EA) for introduction of largemouth bass (Micropterus
salmoides) into East Fork Reservoir was out for public review from December 5, 2006 – January
12, 2007. The original EA did not discuss the need for a warmwater stamp if largemouth bass are
introduced. The EA is amended here to discuss that change. (Species Stocking - 02/05/2007)
The STATE OF MONTANA, Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks (hereinafter referred to as “the State”) is seeking a contractor to provide site feasibility and environmental analysis of multiple properties to consider for acquisition and development as the Paul Taylor Memorial Fishing Access Site. Successful offeror to coordinate a public information campaign, utilizing public meetings for input and information. The state will provide up to six sites, on lakes or sloughs of 100 surface acres or larger, within Flathead County that are currently available by willing sellers to be analyzed for the potential of providing public access through the state of Montana Fishing Access Site Program. A more complete description of the supplies and/or services sought for this project is provided in Section 3, Scope of Project. Proposals submitted in response to this solicitation must comply with the instructions and procedures contained herein.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), Region One, has completed an environmental assessment (EA) for Lone Pine State Park in Flathead County. The project proposes upgrading the existing gravel parking lot and access road located on Valley View Drive by paving them and slightly enlarging the parking area at the same time.
During a 30-day public review of the draft EA, one party submitted written comments. Based on analysis in the EA and consideration of comments received, Alternative B was found to be the preferred alternative, with alterations as set forth in the decision document.
