Environmental assessment for proposed new Fishing Access Site in the Glendive area.

The Future Fisheries Improvement Program is proposing to provide partial funding for a project calling for the stabilization of approximately 900 feet of actively eroding stream bank on the Teton River. The project site is located on property owned by the State of Montana approximately 1/4 mile south of the town of Choteau in Teton County.

This project is being proposed to undertake a water conservation project on Little Prickly Pear Creek with Zachary and Patricia Wirth. The Future Fisheries Improvement Program is proposing to provide partial funding to a project that would reduce the amount of water diverted from Little Prickly Pear Creek for irrigation by converting an inefficient flood irrigation system to a more efficient sprinkler system. The proposed project is located approximately 3 miles west of the Sieben Interchange on Interstate Highway 15 in Lewis and Clark County.

The project site is located on property owned by Marie Ann Zens Kimerly approximately seven miles west of the town of Lolo in Missoula County.

The Future Fisheries Improvement Program is proposing to provide partial funding for a project calling for the installation of a self-cleaning fish screen into a diversion located at stream mile 1.8 on Murphy Spring Creek, a tributary to the North Fork Blackfoot River. The intent of the project is to significantly reduce entrainment mortality and restore downstream connectivity between Murphy Spring Creek and the North Fork Blackfoot River for migratory fish.
