The attached Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared for the Bannack State Park Building Stabilization Project. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) proposes to perform stabilization work on eleven (11) historic buildings within Bannack State Park. Proposed projects vary from building to building, but generally address foundations, roofs, replacement of sill and spandrel logs, and drainage issues. In addition, two frost-free water hydrants would be added to the current outdoor water system. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks invites you to comment on the attached proposal. The public comment period will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. January 21, 2008. The proposed action is removal of nonnative brook trout from the headwaters of Green Hollow Creek using mechanical methods including electrofishing and trapping.

Region 2 of Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has issued a decision notice on its proposal to implement various site improvement and protection projects at the Little Blackfoot River Fishing Access Site near the town of Avon (Powell County). Projects include building a new approach and entrance road, constructing a 10-stall gravel parking lot, and installing a latrine and signage.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is requesting public comment on hunting season structure proposals adopted as Tentative by the FWP Commission at its December 20 meeting. The information below represents adopted Tentatives for: 2008-2009 Hunting Season Dates 2008-2009 Deer, Elk, Antelope, Moose, Sheep, Goat and Black Bear Quotas 2008-2009 Deer, Elk and Antelope Seasons and HD Boundaries 2008/2009 Lion Seasons and HD Boundaries 2008-2009 Upland Game Bird and Turkey Seasons and Quotas 2008-2009 Wolf Seasons and Boundaries 2008-2009 Moose, Sheep and Goat Seasons and HD Boundaries 2008-2009 Black Bear Seasons, HD Boundaries and Quotas 2008-2009 Game Damage Permit Authorizations With the exceptions of the changes listed below, 2007 regulations are being re-proposed for 2008 and 2009.
