Surplus Deer, Elk, Antelope Tags To Go On Sale

Surplus deer and antelope tags in north central Montana are set to go on sale Aug. 14.While there are no surplus elk permits in Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 4, there will be lots of antlerless mule deer B and antelope doe-fawn licenses for sale.

This year, hunters will be allowed to have up to seven antlerless deer B licenses, and two doe-fawn antelope licenses. Those are in addition to a deer A tag and an either-sex antelope license.

Surplus antelope doe-fawn licenses will be available in the following hunting districts: 401, 404, 413, 420, 430, 440, 444, 450, 470, 471, 480, 481, 490, and 491.

Surplus antlerless deer B licenses will be available in the following hunting districts: 400, 401, 404, 405, 406, 410, 411, 412, 413, 416, 417, 418, 419, 421, 423, 426, 432, 441, 444, 445, 447, 448, 450, 471, 498, and 499.

Surplus licenses can be purchased online at fwp.mt.gov, or from any Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks license provider
