FWP Seeks Comments On Recreational Trail Grant Applications For 2010

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on 46 Recreational Trails Program grant applications for 2010. 

FWP manages the annual Federal grant program with oversight from the Federal Highway Administration.  Projects include: development and rehabilitation work on urban, rural, and backcountry trails; planning and construction of community trails; and, a variety of trail stewardship programs.

Individuals, cities, counties, state and federal agencies and private associations must comment by Oct. 2 by email to: bshumate@mt.gov or by mail to: Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Recreation Trails Program, 1420 East Sixth Ave., P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701.

To review a list of the recreation trails grant applications under consideration, go to the FWP Web site at fwp.mt.gov  and on the Recreation page click on Grants.  Copies of each grant application are available in the FWP regional office closest to the project site and at FWP headquarters in Helena.
