Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on a proposed clarification of what is considered “Commercial Use” in State Parks and Fishing Access Site rules.

The proposed wording makes it clear that transporting individuals to any land or water-based state park or recreational site is not a commercial use of the site. Commercial uses that require an FWP permit would be services provided to visitors while on FWP lands, such as guided tours, guided fishing trips, vehicle transfer services, and meals.   For a copy of the proposed rule go to the FWP web site at www.fwp.state.mt.us under Public Notices, or call 406-444-3750.

Public comments on the proposed clarification will be accepted through Feb. 10 and may be emailed to treilly@state.mt.us or mailed to: Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Parks Division—Commercial Use Rule, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT., 59620-0701.
