Montana State Parks News - Region 7

(Dagmar, MT) – Montana State Parks ( will host All About Amphibians at Brush Lake State Park on Friday, July 26 at 7:00pm.

Slimy, sticky, stinky, bumpy – the words used to describe amphibians are not always the most charitable. Humans have a complex relationship with Lissamphibia, or the group of animals that includes frogs, toads, and salamanders. Some people see them as gross or frightening, while others seek them out to catch and keep as pets, but there is much more to amphibians than meets the eye. Join Ranger Shipps in this fun discussion of what makes these critters so important to our prairie home, and learn how to identify some of our amphibian neighbors.
