(Billings, MT) –Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) invites the public to a Beginner Bird Walk at Lake Elmo State Park in Billings on Friday, May 16 at 8am.
Have you ever wanted to learn more about bird watching? Join birder Jen Ard in a guided bird walk and learn more about beginning birding as you spot and identify local bird species. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars and bird identification guide books if they have them. Space is limited, so please sign up by calling (406) 247-2968.
Participants should dress for the weather, bring water and wear comfortable shoes!

Where: Lake Elmo State Park, 2300 Lake Elmo Dr., Billings.
Who: Jen Ard, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks employee and birder from Billings.
Lake Elmo State Park, located on a 64-acre reservoir within the Billings city limits, is a great place to swim, boat, sailboard, fish, birdwatch and enjoy the 1.4 mile nature trail.
