State Parks News - Region 3

(Billings, MT) - Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is announcing a campground expansion construction project will begin at Cooney State Park in Roberts this week. Cooney State Park and campgrounds remain open to the public.

The construction project is an expansion of the Red Lodge campground, it will include the creation of 6 double sites with electricity, two group use sites, five additional tent sites and an additional host pad.

The project is expected to take several weeks to complete.

Cooney State Park and Reservoir is a popular recreation area serving south-central Montana that features fishing, boating, hiking and camping. In 2012,
