State Parks in West-Central Montana - Enter Stage 1 Fire Restrictions - Effective Thursday, August 1
(Helena, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is announcing today that five state parks located in West -Central Montana are now under Stage 1 Fire Restrictions effective on Thursday, August 1.
The parks affected are Beavertail Hill State Park, Frenchtown Pond State Park, Painted Rocks State Park, Placid Lake State Park and Salmon Lake State Park.
Under a Stage 1 Fire Restriction campfires are only permitted in designated steel fire grates. Propane and LPG camp stoves are allowed. Smoking is not allowed.
Montana State Parks is implementing the fire restrictions in coordination with federal agencies, counties and the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC).
An update on stateparks.mt.gov will be issued when the restriction is lifted.
