(Great Falls, MT) – Montana State Parks ( is announcing:

Bring your family to the annual “Art in the Park” special event at Giant Springs State Park.

You can enjoy this beautiful state park and have the opportunity to see local artists in action as they draw inspiration from the park setting to create exciting, new works of art.

Kids will have the chance to create a work of art led by members from the Paris Gibson Museum of Art.

This year’s special guest is iconic Montana artist Monte Dolack. He will be on site from Noon-3pm to meet the public and showcase prints of his 2012 Placid Lake State Park painting, all with proceeds benefitting Montana State Parks. A version of this painting is featured on the new Montana State Parks license plate. Dolack grew up in Great Falls and visited Giant Springs State Park in the 1950s and 1960s and continues to do so whenever he is in Great Falls.
