What: Join Us for Missouri Headwaters State Park Summer Speaker Series presentation: “Written in Fire: the Story of Montana’s Livestock Industry”. The 2013 speaker series theme is Montana Traditions and Expressions.
Join Us to learn about the story of Montana’s livestock industry that is literally written in fire, with cattle brands representing ranchers, tribes, railroads, the military, foreign investors, and more.
Presenter: Lyndel Meikle is a Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Park Ranger, blacksmith and historian. Meikle’s career spans four decades with assignments in Yosemite National Park, Fort Point National Historic Site, and Alcatraz.
When: Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 7pm.
Where: Missouri Headwaters State Park office lawn, 1585 Trident Road, Three Forks, MT 59752. The park is located four miles north of Three Forks, just off of interstate 90. Please bring your own chairs.
(The rain location is the United Methodist Church Annex building, 116 East Cedar Street, Three Forks, Montana.)
