(Ulm, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today:
What: Bring your family to participate as First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park presents: “Traditional Native Games.”
Traditional native games were an important part of tribal culture during the days First Peoples Buffalo Jump was used for the hunting of buffalo. Join park staff and volunteers to learn more about these games, and play them yourself. All ages invited. Games offered may include shinny, double ball, kickball, hoop and arrow, as well as others.
When: Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 2-4 pm

The park is 3.5 miles north of Ulm, just off of Interstate 15 at Exit 270.

First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park is one of the largest buffalo jumps in North America. The visitor center and interpretive trails tell the story of the people, the animals and the landscape of the buffalo culture. In the 2012 summer season, more than 15,000 people visited this state park.
