(Helena, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is seeking public comment on the tentative Biennial Fee Rule that sets state park fees and associated rules for 2013 and 2014.

• Peak season and the campsite reservation program season are proposed to be extended. (earlier to include the third Friday in May and later to include the third Sunday of September).

• Check-in and check-out times for campsites, cabins, yurts and tipis have been specified more clearly.

• Campsite capacity is specified more clearly.

• Rules are proposed for food storage in state parks at a few key locations in bear habitat.

• Proposed livestock rules call for certified weed-seed free feed.
