Public Comment Open for Proposed Electrical Extension Project at Bannack State Park - Comments due by May 6, 2017 at 5pm

(Dillon, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that it is seeking public comment on a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for proposed Electrical Service Installation at the Yankee Flats Group Use Shelter at Bannack State Park near Dillon, MT. Public comments are accepted through Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at 5pm.

Decision Notice Released for Land Acquisition at Milltown State Park

(Missoula, MT) –Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today, the acquisition of an approximately 10-acre property donated by International Paper Company adjacent to Milltown State Park. The acquisition, which was approved by the Montana State Parks & Recreation Board in April 2016, required work over the past year to work out the details of the land transaction with IP.

Donation Agreement Paves Way for Development of Milltown State Park

(Missoula, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that it has reached an agreement with International Paper (IP) on a land donation to secure permanent public access at Milltown State Park near Missoula, MT. The agreement is the outcome of years of negotiations and collaboration between both public and private entities.
