Fee Changes for 2019/2020 Snowmobile Trail Passes

(Helena, MT) – Snowmobilers and other groomed trail users in Montana will see changes to trail passes for the 2019/2020 riding season. Last spring, the 2019 Montana Legislature passed HB 355 which adjusted fees on the Montana Snowmobile Trail Pass and Non-resident Snowmobile Temporary Use Permit and designated a new Non-resident Groomed Trail Pass.

Montana Public Lands Field Trip Grant Application Deadline Extended

(Helena, MT) –Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that the application deadline for Montana Public Lands Field Trip Grants has been extended. The original deadline to apply was October 27, 2019, but the grant cycle will remain open until all of the available grants have been awarded.

Recreational Trails Program Grant Cycle Opens November 1

(Helena, MT) –Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will begin accepting grant applications for the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 12pm through the online system at fundingmt.org. The application deadline is January 31, 2020 at 3:00pm.

Anaconda Smokestack State Park Friends Group Meeting -Monday, November 4th at 6:00pm

(Anaconda, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will hold a public meeting regarding the formation of a friends group to support Anaconda Smokestack State Park on Monday, November 4th at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held at the Metcalf Senior Center located at 115 E. Pennsylvania Ave. in Anaconda, MT.
