Campground Expansion Planned for Ackley Lake State Park

(Lewistown, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is moving forward with the installation of eight new campsites to the existing campground at Ackley Lake State Park. The project will also include the installation of fire rings and picnic tables for each site.

Pictograph Cave State Park Announces Off-Season Hours

(Billings, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that Pictograph Cave State Park will move to off-season hours of operation on Monday, September 16, 2019. From September 16, 2019 through May 21, 2020, the park will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm and the visitor center will be open from 10am to 4pm. The park will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and observe holiday closures on November 28, December 24, 25, 31, and January 1. For more information call the park visitor center at (406) 254-7342.

Makoshika State Park Visitor Center Off-Season Hours -Beginning Saturday, September 14

(Glendive, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that Makoshika State Park visitor center will move to off-season hours of operation on Monday September 16, 2019 through May 21, 2020. The visitor center will be open Wednesday – Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and closed on Monday and Tuesday. For more information please call the Makoshika State Park visitor center at 406-377-6256.

Milltown State Park and Travelers’ Rest State Park Move to Off-season Hours

(Missoula, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) has moved to off-season hours of operation at Milltown State Park and Travelers’ Rest State Park. Milltown State Park is now open from 9am to 7pm daily through October 15, 2019; 9am to 5pm October 16, 2019 through April 30, 2020.

First Peoples Buffalo Jump Moves to Off-season Hours -Monday, September 23

(Ulm, MT) – First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park will adopt off-season hours beginning Monday, September 23. From September 23, 2019 through April 1, 2020, the Visitor Center and gates will be open from 10am to 4pm Wednesday through Saturday and 12 pm to 4 pm on Sundays; closed Monday and Tuesday. State holiday closures will also be observed.
