Boat Ramps Open at Placid and Salmon Lake State Parks

(Seeley Lake, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that the boat ramps at Placid Lake State Park and Salmon Lake State Park are now open. The boat ramps had been closed to trailer launches due to high lake levels. Water levels continue to be high and Montana State Parks would like to remind the public to be safe and wear a personal floatation device while recreating on the water.

High Water Closes Boat Ramp at Painted Rocks State Park

(Darby, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that the boat ramp at Painted Rocks State Park is closed to trailer launches due to high lake levels. Campsites #9 and #11 are also closed. Hand-launching for small watercraft is available at the park. The boat ramp will re-open when water levels allow.

Decision Notice Issued for Capital Road Project at Makoshika State Park

(Glendive, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) has issued a Decision Notice for a Draft Environmental Assessment for a Capital Road Project at Makoshika State Park in Glendive, MT. The Decision Notice recommends moving forward with renovations to the primary access road at Makoshika State Park.
