Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission To Meet In Helena March 21

Montana’s Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet in the FWP Helena office, 1420 East Sixth Ave., Thursday, March 21 at 8 a.m. The Commission will make final decisions on Future Fisheries Improvement Program projects to be funded, fishing tournament rules and the two-day resident fishing license fee refund.

  Other final decisions will be made on the Snowmobile Water Skipping Rule and the purchase of conservation easements on more than 12,000 acres of land located 30 miles south of Miles City, known as the Tongue River Conservation Easement.

  An update on the new Automated Licensing System is scheduled for late morning.  The afternoon will include a briefing on trumpeter swans and a discussion on river recreation management.    The full agenda for the FWP Commission meeting can be found on the FWP web site at fwp.state.mt.us.
