Season structures and hunting district boundaries are adopted biennially for most game species. This happens every other year between December and final adoptions by the Fish and Wildlife Commission in February. In proposing regulations to the Commission, FWP proposes adopting the existing 2017structure except for specific changes. Proposals are based on population status or other circumstances.

The deadline for public comment is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018. Final adoption of the regulations will occur Feb. 15, 2018.
