Black Bear Season To Close In Bear Management Unit 700

By order of the Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission, the hunting of all black bears in Bear Management Unit 700 will close one-half hour after sunset on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. 

Bear Management Unit 700 includes portions of Bighorn, Carter, Custer, Dawson, Fallon, Garfield, McCone, Musselshell, Powder River, Prairie, Richland, Rosebud, Treasure, Yellowstone and Wibaux counties.

Eight bears have been reported harvested in BMU 700, meeting that unit’s 2017 quota for black bears.
