The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission is seeking public comment on small adjustments to the fall black bear and spring turkey hunting season quotas for next year.

The proposals seek to increase the fall black bear quota in eastern Montana's bear management unit 700 from four to eight bears; and for spring turkey, available permits would be increased from 100 to 150 in hunting district 282-20 northwest of Missoula, and decreased from 10 to five in hunting district 445-20 near Great Falls.

Commissioners are also seeking comment on a proposal to close bighorn sheep hunting in hunting district 455 near Helena due to low population counts.
