By order of the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission, the hunting of all black bears in Bear Management Units 510 & 700 will close one-half hour after sunset on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012.
These hunting district(s) will re-open for the hunting of all black bears for the general season beginning Sept. 15.
The order halting the hunt came shortly after Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the districts had been met.
