

Melissa Foster has been hired as the Region 7, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks biologist for the Glendive area.
Melissa has been working in Region 7 for the last two and a half years as a Conservation Technician. She has been conducting an ecological study on sage grouse in southeastern Montana. This study has included evaluating population parameters, movements and habitat use within one of Montana’s Sage Grouse Core Areas. She has also worked as a research assistant on several other successful projects for the University of Tennessee and Michigan State.
Miss Foster is originally from Holt, MI, and earned her Master’s Degree in Wildlife Science from the University of Tennessee. She will be located in the town of Glendive and can be reached at 406-853-5682 or mfoster@mt.gov.
