Hunting - Region 7

A Hunter Education class has been scheduled for those interested in the Lame Deer area.  Registration for the class has been set for May 7th from 7-8 p.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Lame Deer.  Classes will be held May 14-19th from 7-9 p.m. at the same location.  For more information contact Ed Joiner at 477-3201.

Any youth 12 years of age or older or those who will turn 12 during the upcoming hunting season are eligible to participate in the class.  There is no charge and the class is open to the public.

In accordance with Montana state law, anyone born after January 1, 1985 is required to complete a hunter education course before they will be able to purchase any hunting licenses.

The class scheduled in Colstrip has been cancelled so those needing to take a class in the area may wish to take the Lame Deer class instead.
