The Private Land/Public Wildlife (PL/PW) Council will meet June 8 in Helena to review legislative and Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks actions related to hunting and fishing access programs and to discuss issues. The Council will meet from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Helena at the Red Lion Colonial Inn, 2301 Colonial Dr. The public is invited to attend and participate at designated times.
The 15-member council, including landowners, outfitters, hunters, anglers, legislators, and an FWP Commissioner, spent the past two years reviewing FWP hunting and fishing access enhancement programs. Some council recommendations were presented to the 2005 Legislature in the form of bills, while others requiring no legislation were submitted to FWP for consideration.
