Montana's furbearer season for trapping beaver, otter, muskrat  and mink in western districts 1, 2, and 3 begins Monday, Nov. 1. Beaver trapping in central and eastern trapping districts 4, 5, 6 and 7 opened Sept. 1.

Land trapping seasons in all of the state's trapping districts will open Dec. 1. Please see the 2004 Furbearer trapping and hunting regulations for details on trapping district season dates for specific species and closed seasons.
