

The fall turkey special permit application deadline is Aug. 2.
Applicants must mail their application and a $3 nonrefundable drawing fee to the Regional FWP offices offering the turkey hunting permits. Drawing results will be posted on the FWP web site at www.fwp.state.mt.us. Successful applicants must purchase a fall turkey license which is $5 for residents and $115 for nonresidents.
Fall turkey applicants may select only one of the following special fall turkey permit areas:
* Lincoln County Area—150 either-sex permits
* Sanders County Area—150 either-sex permits
* Bitterroot Valley Area—150 either-sex permits
* FWP Administrative Region 3—10 either-sex permits
* Youth ages 12-14—two either-sex permits
* Park County—30 either-sex permits
* Youth ages 12-14—two either-sex permits
Printed applications are available at all FWP regional offices and on the FWP web site at www.fwp.state.mt.us under Hunting and then Licenses and Applications or on www.discoveringmontana.com under Online Services. Applicants must have a 2004 Conservation License before applying for a fall turkey permit.
The statewide fall turkey season is Sept. 1- Jan. 1. General fall turkey hunting areas that do not require a permit are generally in eastern Montana and portions of Northwestern Montana. The fall turkey regulations can be found in the 2004 upland game bird hunting regulations.
