Law-Enforcement Reality Show “WARDENS” to Debut on Outdoor Channel

2011 Season Focuses on Montana Game Warden’s Association; Debuts Thursday Night

Helena, Montana & Temecula, California – December 27, 2010 – When your job is protecting our most precious wild resources in some of the nation’s most remote areas, there is rarely a dull moment. “WARDENS,” produced by Muddy Boot Productions and airing on Outdoor Channel, America’s leader in Outdoor TV, chronicles the lives of conservation officers in America, with the 2011 season focusing on the great state of Montana and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP). “WARDENS” will debut on Thursday, December 30, 2010 on Outdoor Channel at 7:30 p.m. MST and air weekly on Thursday nights.

Each week, “WARDENS” will take viewers to all corners of the Treasure State and highlight the brave men and women of the Montana FWP Enforcement Bureau who defend wildlife and other public resources from unlawful activity, brave treacherous whitewater rapids and embark on intense snowmobile trails in the remote grizzly bear country. It’s all in a day’s work for these protectors of the great outdoors.

“Outdoor Channel educates and entertains viewers on all aspects of the outdoor lifestyle, including conservation, making “WARDENS” a perfect fit for our first quarter programming lineup,” said Tom Hornish, COO, Outdoor Channel. “Having a unique program like “WARDENS” on our network gives Outdoor Channel viewers the chance to see the critical men and women who guard our precious natural resources in action. We are proud to honor the hard work they put in day in and day out to conserve the environment for future generations.”

“Montana is the gold standard for anyone in the world who enjoys the outdoors, which creates an unlimited supply of stories and situations that make for great television,” said series creator, Steve Puppe. “We’ve been fortunate enough to be embedded with Montana Game Wardens for the past year giving us plenty of action in each episode to keep the audience glued to their seat.”

"WARDENS" is an opportunity to showcase our state’s wild resources and its professional staff. The episodes highlight the diversity of our work and the challenges we face every day protecting "The Last Best Place," said Warden Chief Jim Kropp.

This season, “WARDENS” will cover everything from enforcement actions and game violations, to the seemingly mundane activities of traffic control capped off with the high intensity action of defensive shooting of a charging bear. Other segments this season will also cover paddlefish snagging, white-water rafting, search/rescue missions, road-side checks, high-risk warrants, and decoy stings.

“WARDENS” will air Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. MST and will debut on December 30, 2010 on Outdoor Channel. For more information on the show, please visit http://www.outdoorchannel.com/wardens
