

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on a proposal to grant $26, 325 in shooting range funds to the West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation to make improvements to the existing biathlon range on the Rendezvous Trail System.
The proposed project will bring the biathlon range up to current safety standards and make it capable of hosting international competitions. Specifically, the project involves replacing and supplementing targets, installing a sidewalk and retaining wall, and creating roofed target mounting. The improvements will enhance handicap accessibility and provide for more diverse uses for the range including pistol, archery, shotgun and rifle shooting.
The environmental assessment is available at FWP’s Headquarters in Helena (1420 East Sixth Avenue) or on FWP’s website at fwp.mt.gov under Recent Public Notices.
Comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on September 17, 2010 and can be mailed or emailed to:
