Columbia Falls Aluminum Company (CFAC) has enrolled two areas of their land into the Block Management hunting program this year. Both areas are limited access only, and permission is given at the FWP Region One office in Kalispell. The South Half property is for youth ages 12-15 and hunters with a permit to hunt from the vehicle only. The North Half is walk-in only and is open to youth and hunters with disabilities only.
Sign up for CFAC North and South Half BMA’s will be done on a first come, first served basis beginning September 1 for hunting between 9/3 – 10/18 (upland bird, turkey, archery deer/elk, black bear). For general big game season (10/22 – 11/28), a drawing will be held 10/1 for specific dates/hunters. Applications will be taken beginning 9/1, through 9/30 at 5 p.m. at Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Headquarters on North Meridian Road. Applicants can only apply once for each area and will need to provide their name, address, phone number, ALS number, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice for dates, along with other party members who would be hunting. Only one party with a maximum of 4 hunters can use each area per day. Send the information to FWP, 490 North Meridian Road, Kalispell, MT 59901. Call FWP for more information at 752-5501.
Successful applicants will be notified by mail of the date they were drawn and provided with an area map and rules. The south half access requires a key which can be picked up the week prior to your hunting dates and must be returned no more than 2 days after your hunt.
