Headlines - Region 3

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks seeks public comment on a draft environmental assessment for proposed improvements to the Powerhouse Fishing Access Site on the Big Hole River 2 ½  miles west of Divide.

FWP proposes to replace the existing steeply-graded and uneven gravel boat ramp with a single-wide concrete boat ramp at a lower grade. In addition, the proposal includes improving the parking lot to accommodate three vehicles, constructing a new concrete vault latrine to replace the temporary latrine used during times of heavy use, and installing new signs.

The draft environmental assessment is available in Bozeman at the FWP regional office (1400 S. 19th Ave.), FWP’s Headquarters in Helena (1420 E. 6th Ave.), or on FWP’s website at fwp.mt.gov and click on Recent Public Notices.

Comments on the Powerhouse Fishing Access Site environmental assessment will be accepted until 5 p.m. on May 25, 2010, and should be mailed or emailed to:
