Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), Region One, has completed an environmental assessment (EA) for a revised project proposal at West Shore State Park in Lake County for the purpose of installing 11 campsite electrical pedestals within campground Loop B. In addition, the proposed project would include electrical infrastructure improvements.

Following a 30-day public review, 23 comments were submitted, including 12 in support and 8 in opposition. Based on the analysis in the EA and comments received, Alternative B, installation of electrical pedestals at 11 sites in Loop B, was found to be the preferred alternative.

Copies of the draft EA are available at FWP headquarters, 490 N Meridian, Kalispell; Montana State Library, 1515 E 6th Ave., Helena; Polson City Library, 2 First Ave. E, Polson; Flathead County Library, 247 First Ave. E, Kalispell; and the FWP web site at fwp.mt.gov under Public Notices.
