

The dates are set for fall hunter education classes in Belgrade, Bozeman, Butte, and Livingston. Registration is required for all classes and students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. FWP-certified instructors conduct the classes. Any person born after January 1, 1985, must present a Hunter Education Certificate in order to purchase a hunting license in Montana. A student must be 11 years old to receive certification.
The schedules are as follows:
Registration is on Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. (the first night of class) at the Belgrade Intermediate School (421 Spooner Road). Class begins that night at 6:30 p.m. and goes through Sept. 11 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. each night. The field day is on Sept. 12 at the Logan Range. Registration is on Sept. 1 from 7-9 p.m. at FWP’s regional office in Bozeman (1400 South 19th Ave.). The class will take place Sept. 14-18 from 7-9 p.m. at Chief Joseph Middle School (4255 Kimberwicke) with a field day on Sept. 19 at the Logan Range.
