Montana’s state parks, fishing access sites, and wildlife management areas are a recreation paradise for residents and visitors alike. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks encourages all visitors to enjoy these outstanding resources during the upcoming July 4^th holiday, but leave the fireworks at home.

State law says no one may set off fireworks on any FWP lands from April 1 until  the first Saturday in September. In addition, other FWP properties, such as some state parks, are closed year round to fireworks.
