Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on a proposal to construct an all-weather public access road to Marias River State Park and Wildlife Management Area in Toole County. Maria River SP/WMA Access Road EA
The primary access road would connect Hjartarson County Road with the northwestern corner of the SP-WMA, crossing private ranch property. The proposed action would also encompass other ranch road improvements as required by an perpetual non-exclusive Road Access and Utility Easement and the development of a formal parking area for visitors to the SP-WMA.
An environmental assessment (EA) analyzes the impacts to the human and natural environment for the proposed action and alternatives. Comments on the EA must be received no later than 5 p.m., Thurs., April 30, 2009.
