Trapper Education Class Planned for Missoula

A trapper education class is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks regional office in Missoula.

The class will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. To register, contact Joe Miller at (406) 677-3608 or the Missoula FWP office at 542-5500.

The class is offered by the Montana Trappers Association and is free of charge and open to all people interested in learning about trapping.  An adult must accompany those under the age of 10. 

The class will include furbearer identification, regulations, safety, ethics, trapping techniques, equipment, demonstrations and fur handling.  Class participants will receive a certificate of completion, the National Trappers Association trapping handbook, workbook and other informational material.
