Dates Announced For Fall Hunter Educaton Course In Kalispell

Registration for the Hunter Education Course in Kalispell is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, beginning at 9 a.m. and running until 3 p.m. at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks headquarters on North Meridian Road.  Classes will be held 6-9 p.m. at Flathead High School on September 17,18,19 and 20. The field course is scheduled for Saturday, September 22, and the test night is Monday, September 24.  An adult course will follow the same schedule. For more information call FWP at 752-5501.

 

By state law, anyone born after January 1, 1985 must have completed the Hunter Education Course to buy a hunting license in Montana.  The minimum age for hunting in Montana is 12.  Hunter Education classes are free of charge and open to hunters and non-hunters alike.  Parents must accompany students under age 18 at registration, where students will pick up course materials.  Schedules for classes in other communities will be announced as they become available.
