A number of kids fishing days have been scheduled in northwest Montana to give young anglers an opportunity to fish and participate in fishing related activities:

ô    April 28, Flathead Fishing Fair, 9 am – 1 pm, Snappy Sport Senter in Kalispell (contact MFWP at 751-4550)

ô    May 12, Ninepipe Kids Fishing Day, 9 am – Noon, Ninepipe Pond across from Ninepipe Lodge (contact MFWP at 751-4550)

ô    June 2, Triangle Pond Kids Fishing Day, Triangle Pond west of Noxon (contact Avista at 847-1280)

ô    June 2, Shady Lane Kids Fishing Day, 9 am – Noon, Old Steel Bridge Fishing Access, Kalispell (Contact MFWP at 751-4550)

ô    June 9, Troy Kids Fishing Day, 8 am to Noon, Troy Family Fishing Pond, (contact MFWP at 293-4161 ext. 100 or USFS at 295-7422)

All the events offer fishing for kids, usually 12 and younger, and may also offer activities such as casting, fish identification, art and water safety.  A large number of groups cooperate to sponsor these days including sportsmen clubs, businesses, civic organizations and government agencies to make these fun and safe days for the whole family.
