Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), Region One, is seeking public comment for the Mount Silcox Wildlife Management Area (WMA) Grazing Project (R29W, T21N) in Sanders County.  The proposed action will allow cattle provided by a local rancher to graze on the WMA. The duration of the plan will be six years. Benefits include an increase in the quality of WMA grass produced, and wintering deer, elk, and bighorn sheep will benefit from the improved quality of vegetation.

Copies of the draft are available at Fish, Wildlife & Parks, 490 N. Meridian Rd., Kalispell; Montana State Library, 1515 E 6th Ave., Helena; Thompson Falls Library, 911 Main St., Thompson Falls; and the FWP web site at http://fwp.mt.gov/publicnotices/notice_1306.aspx .  The draft is out for a 14-day public review until Thursday, March 8, 2007.
