Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) is seeking public comment on an environmental analysis of rules proposed for managing commercial uses of FWP-managed lands such as wildlife management areas and Montana State Parks.

The FWP Commission proposed the rules on July 13 and conducted a series of public hearings in August. The environmental analysis document analyzes the impact of the proposed rules and alternative actions. As proposed, the new rules would require a permit and a fee to use FWP-managed sites for commercial purposes.

Comments on the Commercial Use Rules EA must be received by Oct. 30. The document is available for review on the FWP web site, or copies may be requested by calling: 406-444-7826.  Comments may be emailed to: csperry@mt.gov; or mailed to:   Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Attn: Commercial Use Rules EA, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701.
