Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission To Meet In Helena July 13

Montana‚Äôs Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet in Helena on July 13 at the Helena FWP headquarters, 1420 East 6th Ave., beginning at 8 a.m.  

The FWP Commission will make final decisions on the:

* 2006 deer and elk quotas,

* 2006 upland game bird seasons,

* rules for big game damage hunts and hunt rosters, and

* several lands related items including acquisitions, leases, easements and hunting access agreements.

The FWP Commission will make tentative decisions on the 2006 early season migratory bird regulations, classification and control of about 15 exotic wildlife species and rules governing commercial use of FWP managed lands.

Commissioners will also be asked to endorse relocating the Makoshika Rifle Range to trust land near Glendive, acquiring land in the Alberton Gorge Corridor and other proposed land projects.
