Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission To Meet June 8 In Helena

Montana‚Äôs Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet in Helena June 8 at the FWP headquarters, 1420 East 6th Ave at 8 a.m.  

The FWP Commission will make final decisions on the 2006 hunting quotas for moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat and mountain lions and 2007's big game license auction rules.

The commission will also discuss FWP's 2009 biennial budget and legislative proposals.

The FWP Commission will make tentative decisions on the 2006 and 2007 furbearer regulations, 2006 furbearer quotas and the 2006-2007 bison season. 

The commission will also consider conservation easements on 432 acres north of Wolf Creek, and the purchase of an 800-acre conservation easement on Coffee Creek in Fergus County from the Central Montana Chapter of Pheasants Forever.

The meeting will open with an informational presentation on Montana's chronic wasting disease management plan.
