The public is invited to the third meeting of the Region 6 Citizens Advisory Council. The group, comprised of 15 volunteer advisors from across northeastern and north-central Montana, will meet this Saturday, Feb. 26 from 9 to 4 p.m. in Glasgow’s Cottonwood Inn.
Agenda topics include an overview of state legislation, presentations from various federal land-management agencies in the region and a discussion of the CAC process. Public comments will be accepted from 9:30 until 10 a.m.
The CAC is designed to advise Fish, Wildlife & Parks on the whole spectrum of resource management issues. Members include: Steve Nash of Redstone, Charles Young of Froid, Robert Smith of north Poplar, Dustin Hill of Scobey, Tom Burch and Chuck Carlson of Fort Peck, Darlyne Dascher of McCone County, Jerry Ketchum of St. Marie, Dennis Idler of Glasgow, Howard Pippin of Saco, Jim Graham and Buddy Lundstrom of Malta, Richard Stuker of Chinook, Don Stein of Havre and Fran Buell of Guildford.
