FWP Commission To Meet In Helena April 5

Montana's Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet in the FWP Helena office, 1420 East Sixth Ave., Thursday, April 5 beginning at 1:30 p.m., following a work session from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Work sessions, when FWP staff members share information with the Commission, are open to the public although there is no opportunity for public input at that time.This work session will cover the Block Management Program, the Conservation Easement Process, a Game Damage Update, a Legislative briefing, and an update on drought conditions.

The brief meeting following the work session will include final decisions on the W.W. White Memorial Fishing Access Site lease, 1.5 acres located south of the Conner Bridge on the West Fork of the Bitterroot River nine miles south of Darby in FWP Region 2 and the WH Ranch grazing lease on the Mount Haggin Wildlife Management Area in FWP Region 3.There will also be a tentative ruling on a "no-wake zone" Administrative Rule for Hauser Reservoir in FWP Region 3 and informational presentations on the cap placed on the number of non-resident upland game bird hunters and on a donation of 320 acres of land south of the Missouri River in Chouteau County near Big Sandy, FWP Region 4.
