Sites within FWP Region 1

  • Flathead Lake: Bigfork, Ducharme, Elmo, Walstad, Sportsman Bridge (partially open), Woods Bay (partially open), and Somers fishing access sites will remain open
  • Flathead River: Presentine, Teakettle, Old Steel Bridge fishing access sites will remain open.
  • Flathead Lake Parks: Big Arm, Finley Point, Wayfarer, and West Shore will remain open.
  • McGregor Lake: Boisverts Fishing Access Site will remain open.
  • Lake Mary Ronan, boat ramp will reamin open for day use;
  • Lone Pine State Park in Flathead County will be partially open.
  • Bitterroot Lake Lions' Camp in Flathead County will remain open.
  • Whitefish Lake State Park will remain open.
  • Les Mason Park at Whitefish Lake will remain open.
  • Smith Lake in Flathead County will remain open for day-use recreation.
  • Sophie Lake and Glen Lake fishing access site in Lincoln County will remain open for day-use recreation.
  • Logan State Park in Lincoln County will remain open.
  • Clark Fork River: Day-use of Flatiron Ridge Fishing Access Site will remain open.
  • The Clark Fork River below the confluence of the Flathead River.
  • Lakes and recreation sites within incorporated cities and towns will remain open.

Sites within FWP Region 2

  • Seeley Lake, Lake Alva, Salmon Lake State Park, Placid Lake State Park along with River Point, Alva, Big Larch, Salmon, Placid and Seeley campgrounds.
  • Quartz campground off Interstate-90 west of Superior.
  • Frenchtown Pond west of Missoula.
  • Georgetown Lake and associated hosted campgrounds at Phillipsburg Bay, Piney, Lodgepole and Cable.
  • Silver Lake and Spring Hill campgrounds near Anaconda.
Sites within FWP Region 3

  • Day-use fishing and boating on rivers from developed fishing access points will remain open on the Yellowstone, Madison, and Beaverhead rivers. Camping is prohibited.
  • The Gallatin River will remain open for day-use from the Route 191 Bridge downstream of Gallatin Canyon north to confluence of Missouri River. Headwaters State Park is closed.
  • The Ruby River will remain open for day-use downstream of the national forest boundary. Camping is prohibited.
  • BLM campground on the Lower Madison River at Red Mountain will remain open.
  • BLM campground on the Upper Madison River at West Madison will remain open. Day-use will remain open at the South Madison Campground.
  • Cliff and Wade Lakes and Elk Lake on the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest will remain open. Camping is prohibited.
  • Hegben Lake will remain open but can only be accessed from private-land launches and private marinas. Recreational use of other public land around the lake is prohibited.
  • Clark Canyon and associated campgrounds will remain open.
  • Ennis Lake and associated campgrounds will remain open. The BLM's Kobyashi Beach will remain open for day-use only recreation.
  • Quake Lake Visitor Center will remain open.
  • Resorts at Wade Lake, Elk Lake and Elkhorn Hot Springs will remain open.
  • Covered Wagon, Campfire Lodge and Madison Arm resorts will remain open--Madison Arm Road will be closed at 191 with guest escorts to resort.
  • Designated resort areas at Big Sky, Red Lodge, Gardiner, Virginia City, and West Yellowstone will remain open.
  • Chief Joseph, Coulter and Soda Butte national forest campgrounds near Cooke City will remain open.
  • Bakers Hole national forest campground near West Yellowstone will remain open.
  • Greek Creek and the south half of Red Cliff national forest campgrounds near Bozeman will remain open.

Sites within FWP Regions 3 & 4

  • The Missouri River will remain open for day-use below Canyon Ferry Reservoir; below Hauser Reservoir, and below Holter Reservoir to the Cascade/Chouteau line. Angling is prohibited on the Missouri River from the Holter dam to Cascade from noon to midnight daily.
  • Canyon Ferry, Hauser and Holter reservoirs will remain open but can only be accessed from private-land launches and hosted campgrounds; in addition, Hauser Reservoir can be accessed from York Bridge Fishing Access Site. Recreational use of other public land around the lakes is prohibited.
  • BLM campgrounds on Canyon Ferry Lake at Chinaman's Gulch, Court Sheriff, Jo Bonner, and Riverside will remain open. Day-use will remain open at Shannon, Cave Bay, Cemetery Island, Sandy Beach, Indian Road, Silos, and White Earth.
  • BLM campgrounds at Holter Lake and Holter Dam will remain open.
  • Spring Meadow Lake State Park will remain open.
  • Black Sandy (Hauser) State Park Campground will remain open.
  • Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park will remain open for cave tours only.
  • Ulm Pishkun Visitor Center will remain open but the park will be closed.
  • Giant Springs State Park will remain open.
  • Lake Francis near Valier will remain open.
  • Lakes and recreation sites within incorporated cities and towns will remain open.

Sites within FWP Region 5

  • Yellowstone River: Open for day-use recreation, including fishing, and designated fishing access sites including Grey Bear, Otter Creek, Pelican and Buffalo Mirage are open for day use on graveled surfaces only.
  • Boulder River: Open for day-use recreation, including fishing, outside the national forest boundary, with fishing access sites closed.
  • Stillwater River: Open for day-use recreation, including fishing, outside the national forest boundary, at designated fishing access sites including Cliff Swallow, Absarokee, and Fireman's Point with all other fishing access sites closed.
  • Rosebud River: Open for day-use recreation, including fishing, outside the national forest boundary, with fishing access sites closed.
  • Rock Creek: Open for day-use recreation, including fishing, outside the national forest boundary, and at fishing access sites including Water Birch, Bull Springs and Horsethief Station with all other fishing access sites closed.
  • Clarks Fork: Open for day-use recreation, including fishing, with fishing access sites closed.
  • Cooney State Park: Open for both camping in designated areas and day use on graveled areas.
  • Bighorn Lake: open for water based recreation
  • East Rosebud Lake: Open for water based recreation.
  • Lakes and recreation sites within incorporated cities and towns will remain open.
