Bowhunters Offer Outdoor Camp For Single Parents

The Montana Bowhunters Association is offering single parents a chance to learn about the outdoors. The Discover the Outdoors Camp, set for June 9-11, is designed for single parents and a child ranging in age from 11 to 15.

The camp will be held at FWP's Beartooth Wildlife Management Area north of Helena. Activities will include camping, cooking, bow and gun shooting sports, and fishing followed by evening educational programs to round out the days. Previous outdoor experience is not necessary.

The camp is offered at no cost to participants. To apply, both the parent or guardian and the youngster must complete an application form available by calling 406-452-3238 or 1-888-404-3238. Applications are also available from the Montana Bowhunters Association, P.O. Box 1942, Great Falls, MT 59403-1942. Completed applications will be accepted until May 5 and can be faxed to 406-452-3238 or mailed to the Montana Bowhunters Association. Applications will be accepted until May 5.
