Beaverhead River Management Committee To Meet In Dillon
Headlines

Friday, December 10, 1999

The Beaverhead River Recreation Management Advisory Committee will meet in Dillon at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Dillon Search and Rescue building.

The purpose of the meeting is to complete the committee's ground rules, identify common interests and areas of conflict regarding recreation management, and to discuss preliminary data on recreational use of the Beaverhead River.

The Beaverhead River Recreation Management Advisory Committee was formed to develop long-term management plans to address recreational use, user conflicts, resource and property damage concerns, and demands upon limited facilities on the Beaverhead River. A similar planning effort is also underway on the Big Hole River.

The meeting is open to the public, but the focus will be on committee members working on specific river issues and gaining an understanding of the preliminary data. For more information, contact Lorie Higgins, facilitator, at (406) 835-2067 or higgi@wsunix.wsu.edu.
