Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is now soliciting proposals from wildlife conservation organizations interested in conducting the auctions through which Montana's bighorn sheep and moose auction licenses will be sold in 2000.

To be eligible to conduct the moose license auction, an organization must have prior involvement in the conservation of moose. Similarly, organizations interested in conducting the auction for a bighorn sheep license must have prior involvement in the conservation of bighorn sheep.

A complete copy of the auction proposal requirements can be obtained from FWP's Wildlife Division, 1420 East Sixth Avenue, PO Box 200701, Helena MT 59620-0701; or by calling (406) 444-2612. Proposals must be received by July 15, 1999.

The Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will select the conservation organizations that will conduct the auctions at its August meeting.

Organizations interested in conducting the auctions are encouraged to attend the meeting to discuss their proposals.
